University Archives

This collection contains university publications, the administrative records of the university, photographs, and oral histories of former faculty members and staff. The university publications collection includes campus catalogs, newsletters, annual reports, brochures, the Retriever (the campus newspaper), and student publications as well as scientific and technical reports published by the research organizations within the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.


Dissertations and Theses

UMBC doctoral dissertations and masters' theses are stored here. All of the dissertations and 50% of the theses are catalogued by author and title in the Library Catalog (catalogusmai). Second copies of dissertations are available in the circulating collection on the 5th floor with call numbers FOLIO LD3231. The Special Collections Dissertations and Theses database (below) contains a complete listing of all university dissertations and theses from 1976 to the present.
